Meet Ashley Knight, class of 2011 (Vice Captain)
Ashley studied a Bachelor of Music at University of Newcastle majoring in Jazz piano and then completed a Master of Teaching at Australian Catholic University in 2016. She bartended and ran her own business as an entertainer during this time.
Ashley was fortunate enough to go back and do casual teaching at BWSC alongside some of the staff that taught her. She gained a permanent position in Sydney where she’s worked for 4 years teaching Music, English and VET Entertainment

Ashley continues running her business and performing from Sydney to Newcastle alongside her teaching career and is sought after for weddings, engagements, corporate gigs and other functions.
“To the year 12s, make sure you take care of yourselves in the lead up to your exams by getting rest, keeping healthy and socialising – you’ve got this!”
