This course provide students with the opportunity to study the concepts of music through the learning experiences of performance, composition, musicology and aural within the context of a range of styles, periods and genres. Students nominate three electives made up of any combination of performance, composition and/or musicology which reflect the three topics studied in the HSC course.
Music students are also offered a wide range of experiences outside the required classroom practice.
Students have opportunities to experience extra-curricular events such as: Encore, Reprise, Youth In Performing Arts, Central Coast Showcase, The Grove Studio, MAAD @ The Lounge Room, HSC workshop, just to name our most current experiences.
Music students are welcome to rehearse during their break times and often mingle between year groups, further reiterating the friendly, appealing atmosphere of the music areas.
