Description:
Studies of Religion II promotes an understanding and critical awareness of the nature and significance of religion and the influence of belief systems and religious traditions on individuals and within society.
The Year 11 course explores the nature of religion and beliefs. It introduces the student to five major religious traditions – Buddhism, Christianity, Hinduism, Islam and Judaism – as well as religions of ancient origin and religion in Australia pre-1945.
The Year 12 course includes depth studies focused on three religious traditions, as well as studies on topics such as religion in Australia post-1945 and religious and non-religious world-views.
