Year 11 Legal Studies classes and Year 10 Commerce class will be visiting the Downing Centre Courthouses in week 9 this term. There are two days in which this excursion will take place:
- Line 3 Legal Studies (year 11) will be going on Monday the 25th March and will be accompanied by Mr. Salmon.
- Line 2 Legal Studies (year 11) and Year 10 Commerce will be going on Thursday the 28th March and will be accompanied by Mr. Nicol and Ms. Labberton.
The students will be able to visit a range of different court cases on the day and will be required to complete questions on the elements of justice, procedural fairness, equity and fairness in the cases that they observe.
The cost of the excursion is the rail fare, students can bring their lunch or money to purchase lunch.
Students will need to meet at Woy Woy station at 7:30am.
Full school uniform must be worn by all students.
Students will have to observe the correct procedures and etiquette in court rooms and be respectful to the parties involved. Misbehaviour will not be tolerated.
