The TAS Faculty offers diversity in skills and courses and is leading the way for the integration of digital and adaptive technologies.
The TAS Faulty undertakes project based learning activities in line with industry skills and standards enhancing pathways to employment and further study.
Through the study of technology courses, students engage in a diverse range of practical experiences and develop knowledge and understanding of contemporary and advancing technologies. They develop solutions to identified problems and situations, and explore the impact of technologies on the individual, society and the environment.
The TAS faculty here at BWSC Woy Woy aims to provide information and practical experiences which develop in students:

Technology education integrates both procedural and conceptual knowledge based on a holistic view of learning. Students identify needs that have relevance, apply design theory and use design processes and they encourage flexibility, resourcefulness and imagination in the development, communication and production of quality solutions. Technologies assume increased importance when they are applied to solve real problems and to create ideas and solutions in response to the needs and opportunities for customers, clients or themselves. They can be used to add functional, aesthetic and environmental value to products.
Students will experience a core of design processes and technological experiences. In the broader community, the application of this process can involve the consideration of factors relating to organisations, people, environments, sustainability, appropriateness, materials, machines and equipment, systems, communication, social and ethical solutions.
Students will be given opportunities to learn how to function safely in a working environment and in a society driven by rapid technological change, communication and in a global society increasingly competitive knowledge-driven economies.
